Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
A flight in the Lancaster comes at a cost of $5,000 per seat plus museum membership (Adult $125, Senior $100). If you are not already a museum member, you will be prompted to add a membership to your flight order at the time of purchase. It is not necessary to purchase your membership in advance. If you are already a museum member, be sure to have your membership number handy.
Lancaster flights sell out extraordinarily quickly - a full season typically sells out within just a few minutes to hours. For the best chance of securing a seat, we strongly recommend being online and ready to purchase at 9:00 am EST on November 19.
Customers will select their flight date at the time of purchase.
Our flying season typically runs from June to November each year.
Unfortunately, we can't confirm or guarantee if the Lancaster will be flying on any specific 2027 dates in advance of the on-sale date. There are many moving parts internally that influence which flights take place on which days, such as maintenance schedules and potential offsite appearances, which have not all been finalized at this point.
We recommend that those travelling from a distance plan to stay in the area for seven days after your scheduled flight in case it needs to be rescheduled due to weather or aircraft serviceability. Hamilton is centrally located between Toronto and Niagara Falls, so there is plenty to do in the area!
We strongly recommend not booking any travel arrangements until after you have received an order confirmation email. Flights sell out very quickly and, unfortunately, there is no guarantee that you will be successful in securing a flight on your preferred date.
Passengers must be able to climb a ladder of 4-5 steps unassisted into the aircraft. There are no exceptions to this important safety requirement.
All passengers must be a minimum of 12 years old on their flight date.
Some customers have experienced difficulty getting through the security of our credit card checkout. This is typically due to either the amount of the purchase, or that the address on their purchase does not match exactly what is registered to their credit card.
To avoid these issues, we recommend taking a few steps in preparation. Firstly, please notify your credit card provider in advance of this purchase. Secondly, verify that your address on your credit card is an exact match to the address you will be using while purchasing your flight. Lastly, ensure your card has 3DS activated and be prepared to complete any authentication steps required by the card's bank.
Sometimes weather and aircraft serviceability prevent a flight from happening on the scheduled date. We make all attempts to reschedule ASAP but, on rare occasions, this may not be possible. Any additional travel costs incurred due to cancellation are the responsibility of the customer.
The interior of the Lancaster has been retrofitted from its original wartime configuration to have four airline-style seats in a vertical row inside the midsection of the fuselage. Once at altitude and under the crew's direction, passengers are allowed to leave their seats and move about the aircraft. The tail turret and nose of the aircraft are not accessible.
