Wondering what kind of books are in our library? Here are
the major collections in our library

We have more than 600 books in this category. Many of the
books are about World War II military aircraft and are classified
according to aircraft type (ie. fighter, bomber, trainer,
transport, or reconnaissance).

The Library's collection of books and manuals about power
plants covers many specific power plants, classified by manufacturer
and mode.

Our collection of Maintenance manuals supports our restoration
projects. The manuals cover overall maintenance, specific
aircraft and aircraft parts. Many of the manuals relate to
Canadian aircraft not represented at the Museum.

A large part of our collection is related to aircraft performance
and operations. The collection also includes many pilot operating
instructions and aircraft safety manuals.

Many of our research requests relate to Canadian military
operations and organizations. This collection is the source
for many of our research responses.

This collection relates mostly to the Canadian Armed Forces
and Squadrons during WWII. Once again this collection is a
valuable resource for us. Half of this collection consists
of Biographies and autobiographies, mostly of World War II
personalities. Training manuals are also a large part of this
collection.

Our collection of history books relates mostly to World War
II. Some of the history books are from the period immediately
after the war, preserving the way history was viewed 50 years
ago. This collection is a valuable resource to students and
researchers who are interested in Canadian Military History.

The periodicals are classified in the library as Canadian,
British or American. Many are from the war years.
