Description: WWII pilot from 475th Fighter Group, Mjr Thomas McGuire, tallied his first kill on August 18, 1943 in his P-38J Lightning 'Pudgy IV'. His P-38J became infamous in October 1944 when he shot down two Oscars over the Philippines before being forced to land and give up his cherished warplane to the 49th Fighter Group, a unit which suffered heavy attrition.

This release from Air Force 1 is a 1/48 scale diecast reproduction of McGuire's 'Pudgy IV'. It comes with display stand and is 12 3/4" in wingspan.
