Description: General Ira Eaker called this October 9, 1943 attack on key targets in Germany and Eastern Europe 'the classic examploe of precision bombing." This historic film documents every phase of the operation from target selection to crew briefings to bombs away. Some 378 Liberators and Fortresses took part in this longest mission of the war. Strike photos revealed that it was highly successful: 352 bombers credited with hitting their targets.
