Description: This is the story of a Squadron Leader Lloyd M Linnell who was shot down in January 1944 enroute to Berlin. It is also the story of his son's search for him. He was two months old when his father was killed. Sixty years later he met the man who killed him. This film tells the story of the possible reasons for his death.
The film ends at a crater in the woods north of Berlin. No grass grows there and there are still pieces of twisted aluminum on the ground, sixty years after the crash. It's not only the story of one pilot; it is also the story of the 50,000 Canadians who served in Bomber Command and the 9,000 that didn't return...
