Lancaster Tour 2010                                           

 

This summer, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Avro Lancaster is embarking on its largest tour of Western Canada in 20 years.  North America’s only flying Lancaster will be seen and heard by hundreds of thousands of people, making several stops including Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton.  It will also headline the warbird line up at the Abbotsford International Airshow.  Be sure to check back here often for updates on specific times and locations so you can view and even tour inside the Lancaster.

Fly down to one of the largest aircraft display shows in North America!  The CWH DC3 Dakota is flying down to the EAA AirVenture on Saturday, July 24th and will return Thursday July 29th.

Road Trip to Canadian Military Heritage Museum

A car pooling trip to the Canadian Military Heritage Museum in Brantford has been scheduled for Saturday, June 5th.  We will be departing at 9:30a.m. sharp.  If you have signed-up previously for this trip a Social Committee member will contact you by phone.  You can still sign-up for this trip on the Volunteer Information Board.  Admission is $4.00 per person.

• Meeting in the Dome/Lunch in the Hangar – McMaster University Health Sc. Library – Monday, May 31st,  3:00p.m.  30ppl.  1 Tour Guide needed for tour at 3:00p.m.

 

• YPO-WPO  Dinner in the Hangar  – Tuesday, June 1st, 6:30p.m. – 11:00p.m. 70ppl.  1 volunteer needed at admission.  1 volunteer needed in the hangar

 

• Church Anniversary Dinner in the Hangar – Friday, June 4th,  5:00p.m. – 11:00p.m.  100-200ppl.   1 volunteer needed at admissions. 3 volunteers needed in the hangar.

 

• 150 Tiger Squadron 40th Reunion – In the Hangar – Saturday, June 5th,  5:00p.m. – 1:00a.m.  170-400ppl.  1 volunteer needed in the Gift Shop.  5 volunteers needed in the hangar

 

• Wedding in the Hangar – Friday, June 11th,  5:00p.m. – 1:00a.m.  100-200ppl.  1 volunteer needed in the Gift Shop.  4 volunteers needed in the hangar.

 

• Flyfest 2010 – June 19th & 20th,  9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.  Volunteers needed both days to assist with a variety of duties to be assigned .  Lunch will be provided in the Dome both days from 11:30a.m. – 2:30p.m.  Please indicate on the sign-up sheet what day or days you will be attending to give us an idea of #’s for lunches.

The CWH Travel Club is offering a number of coach trips this year.  The following trips are available based on the minimum number of seats being sold
