The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum has been striving to continue its leading edge work in the field of Canadian historical preservation and presentation. We are an independent Museum and are not affiliated with any other organization or government program. As a result we do not acquire much funding from the Canadian Government, but primarily rely on cash and in kind sponsorships and donations from the public.

Along with our yearly appeals, the Museum has several different programs one can participate in as a donor. We have the Friends of Flight program, the Hangar Door Fund, and our major donor wall located in the front entry of the Museum. The Museum also has many featured corporate sponsors who have taken an active role in helping Canadian Warplane Heritage strive to maintain its mandate.

By donating you will be helping the museum continue to improve and maintain this important part of Canada’s rich history.

Gifts in Kind

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum provides resources for research and the furthering of the public’s understanding and appreciation of the men and women who have served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Our mandate is to acquire, document, preserve and house artifacts that pertain to Canadian military aviation. We depend primarily on donations of items to meet this mandate and currently our collection is comprised of over 10,000 items including uniforms, helmets, medals, films, newspapers, photographs, framed prints and more.

We also accept donations in kind for other areas of the Museum. This can include items used in maintenance, engineering, fundraising (silent auction items), food services and retail. Donated items usually qualify for a donation receipt if one is desired.

Do you have something you would like to donate that might fit our mandate? Do you have something that might help in the day to day workings of the Museum? We are always looking for new and interesting artifacts and archival material to add to the collection, along with anything you feel could help us in our efforts.

For further information, contact Erin Napier, Curator, at 905-679-4183 ext. 245 or erin@warplane.com.
